Question Monitor No Signal Detected

I had a friend over who built my PC and got it to run correctly.

He plugged in the hdmi cable to my monitor and pc, and my monitor shuts itself off after a couple seconds saying it could not detect a signal. He tried using both a DSub cable and an HDMI cable with no luck. After about 5 hours he could not get the display to work so we had to call it quits. I have been trying to connect my PC to my monitor for the past 9 hours or so with no luck. Tried a different monitor but it could also not detect anything. What do I do about this problem? I have a benq GL2460BH

So two monitors have failed to work - correct?

Do you have a GPU installed? If so, make & model?

Try using the motherboard's built in video port. If there is one....

System hardware specs and OS? GPU? OS?

More information needed.

Yes, I tried 2 different monitors. I'm trying a 3rd monitor here shortly. I have a 1050ti as my GPU, Not sure if u need info in my OS because I haven't even gotten to that part yet, but I have windows 10.

Forgot to add, I have AMD ryzen 3 quad core 2200 and b450 msi motherboard
