Monitor "No Signal" HELP!!!!

Hey , I have setup my new gaming computer and everything seems to be in the correct place but I have tried a HDMI cable and a DVI cable from the graphics card into the monitor and both cables say "No Signal". I don't know what is the problem , the Graphics card's fans spin and work.

I have the BenQ 24 inch monitor , it cost me £115 and the graphics card is the XFX R9 280x ; if you guys have any idea what is going on then please tell me and how to fix it would be great ASAP!

ONLY use one cable. NOT two.

Set the monitor to AUTO.

Are all power cables properly connected to the motherboard and GPU?
