Hello Guys,
Please I need your help, days ago I installed iobit driver booster, this software suggest to me to install tons of drivers update when I installed them, and when I start up my PC I receive no signal message on my Monitor !!, my gpu is GTX 760, saw I reinstalled windows, but same problem ....
then I find a solution is that I have to link my monitor with HDMI cable to the GPU and VGA cable to motherboard,, yes very strange ... now I can get signal on my monitor when setting the HDMI as the source
Guys Please I need your help, I can't use my pc only when the HDMI is linked to the GPU
I have to link also the VGA cable to my motherboard
THANK YOU SO MUCH !

I don't think VGA+HDMI combination is doing any help lmao. Worst case scenario, your drivers are all fucked up and your GTX is not being recognized as it should. The vga/hdmi deal can be caused by motherboard limitations; some Mobos only recognize vga/dsub when accesing the bios and then hdmi for Windows. I honestly recommend disconnecting the GPU board and booting with hdmi/vga pluged to the mobo; let windows choose the drivers/manually download them from manufacturers websites and then turn off, plug GPU board in and boot/install it's specified drivers.-

I know this strange but yes .... when I plug the HDMI cable only to the GPU I keep seeing that there is no signal but when I plug the VGA cable too with the mobo I can use my pc normally ... also I did what you said yesterday but same problem ... I'm really confused now !! does changing the mobo fix the problem ? I really hate problem like this, I have a Z87-A looking to go for a z97 is it good ? Thank you .

I'm pretty certain that you are using your pc just through VGA connector. I don't see a hardware upgrade as necessary to fix a software problem; you said it yourself: some software messed with your drivers, so your focus should be there. Of course Z97 is better than Z87, I actually have the same GTX 760 you have running with a Z97 Mobo, but then again, the problem is not hardware caused.
Can you send me your full components list? I'll try and look up for the manufacturers best matching drivers; and don't forget to tell us what's your Windows OS!

PD: A more radical but almost everytime certain soultion is to just reinstall the OS, rather than a hardware upgrade, it's worth the shot. Just don't trust this drivers programs again will ya? XD

First to let you know I have already reinstalled windows ! I got the same problem !!!!!
what I did next ?? I have a brand new HDD that I've never used it, I installed windows on it then got the same problem 🙁
you said that i'm using my pc just through VGA connector ? no how I'm playing games then ? how I could install Nvidia driver then ? I'm using my ext GPU ofc,
Here is my full components list :
• MotherBoard : Asus Z87-A
• Processor : i5 - 4670K
• RAM : 8 GB DDR3
• Graphics card : NVidia GeForce Asus GTX 760 2 GB
• Monitor : Samsung S23C350, 23"
• OS : Windows 8.1 64-Bit

I really APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT !
Thank you SO MUCH !

Did you install the drivers manually? Windows 8.1 gives me the creeps, to be honest I recommend downgrading to 7 or upgrading to 10, but thats just personal preference.
-For the GPU:
http://www.geforce.com/drivers
-For the Motherboard:
https://www.asus.com/support/Download/1/45/2/13/P9uezwvooiPKWuqX/30/
I recommend downloading all of them to a pendrive, then reinstalling Windows with no GPU; install all the Mobo drivers, shut down Windows. Then connect your GPU board, turn on Windows and manually install GPU drivers.
For some weird reason, something similar happened to me when I built my computer with this GPU (I have the 4gb version which is the same): On first boot, the screen would be blue and have the No-signal Sign; no matter which hdmi/vga/dsub I used, either GPU or Mobo; so I did exactly as I told you and everything ended up working smoothly.
I hope this helps man, remember to check with other screens or hdmi wires.-

Thank you for your quick response, all the drivers are installed from the official website, and I did install windows 10 to try if it can fix the problem, but unfortunately no, installing windows without GPU then connecting it back didn't solve the problem too, that's why I'm thinking that there is a serious problem with that mobo...
I forget to tell you.. I tried to upgrade the BIOS, I said maybe it can fix the problem, but no 🙁
Thank you for your attention to this matter, if you can suggest anything that I can do that may help please tell me !

Such a savage Motherboard hahaha. Have you tried desktop/right click/nvidia control panel/change resolution? There it should show you the current output, in my case:

I'd just try and idle from GPU's HDMI to Mobo's HDMI always selecting the Monitor's source as HDMI and see which one is working, same for the VGA. This way you know at least which is being your video output.

Keep me updated!

its HDMI as I told you in the beginning 🙁

Sorry for the skepticism! I'm all out of ideas, but this is worth a try. I'm just guessing maybe the reason is that the monitor is being identified as 2 different screens (since it's 2 different sources) and the VGA one is being primal, which shouldn't be so, since GPU should be priority over Motherboard graphics.
I'd leave both plugged as they are, go to desktop/display settings/advanced display settings and see if you have 2 screens; if you do, then change the priorities the other way around. This used to happen with my old laptop which had it's built in screen broken and I was running through HDMI, every now and then I would run into no signal and I had to use the hotkeys to change the main screen settings.
I hope this helps :/

Thank you so much, if it will not be fixed, I will buy another mobo that's it ..

Wohooo.... Finally I just fixed the problem !!
I've just installed an old verison of Intel MEI. Then BOOM problem SOLVED !
Got it from here :

*** Intel MEI Driver v8.1.40.1416 (9.0.0.1287) MEI-Only Installer

Thank you juannfox, again, for trying to help me !

I'm glad it got solved! Sometimes it's just about looking in other prospective eh? And don't trust this drivers programs no more please!
Be well man
