It's my first time building a PC, I've put everything together and the pc starts up with all the fans going etc. However, when I try to boot up with my monitor (Asus VX228) I get "No Signal". I'm running an R7 265. The monitor only has 2 HDMI ports, 1 VGA port, an audio + headphones jack, and 1 port for the power. I have a DVI to HDMI cable ( DVI goes into GPU and HDMI goes into Monitor), I also have a VGA cable( GPU has no spot for VGA but comes with a VGA to DVI). I've tried both of those, and even both at once, and still no luck. Please help

Ah, there you go. Sometimes it's the little things. Always double check that all your connectors are plugged in nice and snug before you start up for the first time. Hopefully everything's working fine for you now.
I'm using the Asrock 970 Extreme3 r2.0. Some more details I forgot to mention were that I already tried to reseat the ram and graphics card. I'm using 2x4gb RAM for a total of 8gb
