Monitor - No Signal

So I recently built my computer and after finishing the computer tower I connected it to my monitor with an HDMI cable. When turning on the monitor then the computer the monitor goes through all of the inputs and then says "no signal". I have tried to turn everything on/off multiple times to no avail. I would love some help seeing as this is my first build.

Try leaving only CPU. CPU cooler, single RAM, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected. No other components or wires. Test each RAM slot.

is the monitor plugged into the mini video card or into 1 of the onboard video ports?
as your cpu has builtin video & your motherboard has video ports then take the mini video card out & plug the monitor cable to 1 of the onboard video ports.
