Question Monitor "no signal"

So I have a Asus G751 laptop, and the main monitor is broken. So I have a little Samsung tv that I usually connect to by HDMI. And all was working fine till recently. Now when I startup my laptop connected to the tv I see the ROG startup screen and then nothing... just the "no signal" on the tv. If anybody knows what's going on please help. Thanks in advanc

Try cycling through the laptop's display options? Should be a Function key combination which does that.
