Monitor not compatible with Sapphire HD 7870??

and hooked it up to my Sapphire Radeon HD 7870. Does not work. Tried multiple cables. I re read the monitor description and saw that the HD 7870 is not on the compatibility list. I don't usually make mistakes like this I just glanced at the list and saw radeon 7 series cards and DVI and pulled the trigger. Which part specifically is not compatible? Is there a work around for this? Seller says I can't return for compatibility issues. Can't believe I made this error...

Have you connected the monitor to any other computer ?
There is no such thing as not being compatible with a particular graphics card .
If they have the right connectors [ like DVI , HDMI etc] you can connect them and it will run .
If it is not faulty

PC graphic card must support Dual Link DVI-D directly. (DVI-D adapter is NOT compatible.)
Mac seires, Macbook, Laptops and Integrated On-Board graphics are NOT compatible.

it should work on your GPU but you must use the dual link DVI for the monitor

I have tried 2 different DVI cables using the 2 separate DVI ports on the back of the graphics card. I've managed to get an image that seems ok on 1/2 the monitor and bizarre messed up colors/blurry with slight flickering on the other half. It's split exactly down the middle. I don't have another machine with DVI to test with just a laptop. Appreciate the responses.

do you have a friend with a computer that has a dvi video port in it to test that monitor on it to make certain that the monitor is good?
