I just got this monitor http://www.ebay.com/itm/121696946784?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
and hooked it up to my Sapphire Radeon HD 7870. Does not work. Tried multiple cables. I re read the monitor description and saw that the HD 7870 is not on the compatibility list. I don't usually make mistakes like this I just glanced at the list and saw radeon 7 series cards and DVI and pulled the trigger. Which part specifically is not compatible? Is there a work around for this? Seller says I can't return for compatibility issues. Can't believe I made this error...

From the newegg page on that monitor
Compatibility
This is By-Pass Model and doesn't have AD Board. Only for Desktop PC graphic card.
PC graphic card must support Dual Link DVI-D directly. (DVI-D adapter is NOT compatible.)
Mac seires, Macbook, Laptops and Integrated On-Board graphics are NOT compatible.

it should work on your GPU but you must use the dual link DVI for the monitor

if this is your card then you have 1 DVI-D on that card

I have tried 2 different DVI cables using the 2 separate DVI ports on the back of the graphics card. I've managed to get an image that seems ok on 1/2 the monitor and bizarre messed up colors/blurry with slight flickering on the other half. It's split exactly down the middle. I don't have another machine with DVI to test with just a laptop. Appreciate the responses.
