Monitor not receiving a signal from my PC

Hello, I just finished my first build but have run into a problem. Last week I had all my computer parts put together except for my graphics card because it got delayed by UPS. When I plugged in my monitor to my motherboard, it was not receiving a signal, non of the ports on my I/O were working, even the USB's.

Today my graphics card arrived but I have the same problem, no signal when I plug my monitor into my GPU. I want to know what the problem is and if there is a fix. Thanks!

CPU i7 6600k
GPU gtx 1050 ti
RAM HyperX Fury (1x 8gb)
CPU Cooler : CM hyper 212 evo
Motherboard : ASUS Z170 pro gaming
PSU : EVGA Supernova Nex 650g
Monitor : Asus VC279

did you install all the motherboard drivers with the os .

I did not install drivers yet, or the OS because I can't see what the computer is doing on my monitor. Should I put the driver disc that comes with the mobo in the PC?

do you see the bios splash screen when you use onboard i would recheck all wiring and set up also make shure you put standoff below board in the case and screws board on them with back plate installed in case .

Right now the motherboard is out of the case with all the components installed, and yes when I had the motherboard in the case I did put in the standoffs. I do not see any BIOS splash screen when I used the onboard.

the cable and monitor when you use onboard are good also does monitor tell you no signal when it is connect to pc .

Leave the GPU out. Try a cmos reset per the mobo manual.

Yes, there is a no signal message on my monitor. I did the cmos reset but I don't know if it did anything.

it means monitor does not receive any video signal from system check your cable and the monitor input .

Except the entire I/O does not work.(USB, audio, and display) The monitor works with my XBOX.

Can the leds come on even if there is a short?

it only means she receive power recheck all cable in case you disconnect one with thw led .
