Hello,
I was trying to solve an issue on my windows 7 work computer where everything would get moved to one monitor when I woke my device up from idle. I read some tips to change the registry entry under graphics configuration. Once I edited it and turned both of my monitors off and on, it stopped recognizing my bigger monitor. I changed the registry entry back, no luck. I erased all of the entries under that category and rebooted, no luck. It creates registry entries for both monitors and for the combination of them. Also, when I turn the unrecognized monitor off and back on, the recognized monitor goes black for a second, as though the displays are re-orienting, but then the unrecognized one goes back to no input/sleep. Halp!
