I've just finished buildning my first pc out of mainly used parts and last night when i tried booting it up for the first time the monitor didn't seem to be able to connect. The motherboard, an ASUS Z97-A, also had a few red lights blinking or shining on it next to CPU_LED, VGA_LED and below DRAM_LED MemOK.
I've tried connecting the HDMI cable to both the graphics card and the motherboard. Neither worked. But the monitor worked when i connected it to my laptop.
I've double checked and re-connected all the cables on the PSU, also tried with a different PSU (Corsair RM750 and Corsair CV550).
I've tried switching the RAM and tried different ones in every slot, sometimes with all of them, sometimes with two and sometimes just one.
I've tried resetting CMOS.
I've tried removing the graphics card and only using the built in motherboard graphics. I've also tried connecting the GPU to both the upper and the lower PCIe slots, no difference.
I've tried unplugging both SSD's and tried them both seperately.
But i still don't even know if the pc boots up. There's no speaker-connector so i don't hear any beeps when booting up. All the chassi fans are running and the PSU is running. But i have no image on the monitor so i don't know if i'm in BIOS or not.
