So i restored an old computer for my mom which i had used for parts. Then i booted it and everytging turned on like fans and hdd but the monitor it was connected to said no signal. So the port was on the motherboard so i thought it might be the port, byt it persisted this problem after i put a gpu in. And this gpu had worked in it before.

So the things it is not is the monitor as i tried 2 others and a tv. Not the cable, i tried 3. Not lack of power im pretty sure becuase it can support a 110 watt gpu, a low spec cpu
(2.7 quad) and 12gb of ram, but it is a 250 watt psu.

My only real idea is maybe it dosnt like the new ram or maybe something directly on the mobo. Even the cpu, but the cpu had worked 4 weeks prior and right after i took it out i put it straight into another computer and no bent pins. Any ideas?

Unknown mobo (onboard dvi port)
2.7ghz quad phenom II cpu
2×4gb ddr3 ram
500gb hdd

Don't think it is the memory and your PC did power on, so the mobo should be fine. It seems your not seeing post either, so make sure power is enough (take another PSU for a few minutes). Or try VGA, HDMI or display port. The one port may be dead. If you are seeing post try a linux OS (Such as Ubuntu) to see if it is a driver issue (You don't need to install). Low chance of it being RAM, but to make sure insert one stick at a time (different slots).
