[SOLVED] Monitor not starting up properly.

Starting very recently, my monitor will not start at bootup if any of the USB ports are "occupied" Unplugging all USB cables seems to bring the monitor to life most times. In addition, and probably related, if I plug in a USB cable while the computer is running, as the metal on the plug contacts the metal on the socket, the screen blacks out for a couple of seconds.

Any ideas where I should start looking? Any info would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance

Solution
Seems like an earthing issue. Somewhere there is an earth leakage and it is highly possible there is an issue with the PSU. You can do two things:
1. Use a replacement PSU to check if the issue persists.
2.Get a qualified electrician to check the earthing of your main power source.
