So i built a new computer a week ago. Everything was going fine until I tried to add case fans. Several hours after playing around with different case fan orientations I tried to boot my computer but my monitor wouldn't turn on. Can someone offer some help? Here's what I know:

PSU turns on and the fans and cpu fans seem like they are working. I thought maybe I messed up the CPU power pin when pushing it against the case with the case fan but I've unplugged and replugged by sides of the power cord.

Replugged all the power and sata cords.
I tried only 1 stick of DDR 4

Tested the graphics card on another computer and it works fine.

Tested the monitor on another computer and it works fine.

I've tried a different PCI slot for the video card.

I removed the CMIOS battery for at least 15 mins.

Earlier I had replaced the thermal compound on my CPU because I had put too much on last time but it had started up fine until I rebooted it for the 10nth time.

I've checked every cable I could think of (CPU fan, front power/usb/led, motherboard connector)

I checked to make sure that no cables could be brushing against the motherboard and shorting it but things are powering on, just no monitor.

I'm really worried that maybe I discharged myself on the motherboard my capacitors look good from what I can see.

I'm about to test the power supply because I was thinking maybe I messed it up turning it off and on so much. Or maybe I fried some components while working in a warm room with little ventilation.

I'd really appreciate some help on this. I don't know what else to try.

That one may take a day to try but I have another question. Consider the fact the I started and shutdown the computer several times (like 10 or more) within a 20 minute period could that have done something? Also, isn't there a method that gets rid of built of power in the computer?

Hi there guys, im just gonna borrow this thread for a bit.

My current GPU msi gtx 970 doesnt seem to give signal to my monitors sometimes when i turn on the pc. I have 2 and none of them show anything. Execpt that sqare for the signal type searching (hdmi,vga...) I have to cut the power completly and keep doing it for a while to get it working. Also the PC seems to be turning on and off twice before booting. (formating doesnt help, so it probably not software issue)

Any info welcome , tnx!
