Monitor not working with WinXP

Toshiba Netbook NB100 with WinXP does not see the monitor

By needing a monitor, I'm going to assume your netbook has a broken/non functional screen correct? Your VGA port may be faulty, or it could be driver related, have you tried any other VGA monitors? I'd try downloading the chipset drivers for your netbook from the manufacturer's website and go from there. Another possibility is your graphics chip is shot which would require a new motherboard(only applies if you have a broken screen and have tried replacing it). Just my two cents!
