[SOLVED] Monitor not working??

Hi there,

I'm a new member here. I just recently installed a new graphics card and it booted up fine but my monitor just showed a blank black screen. I've been working on this for a few days now with no success sadly. I would love for this to be solved. I'm thinking maybe it is a defective card although it is new. Maybe I am wrong and my card is incompatible maybe.

Edit: Could it be my motherboard? My computer seems fine just no display. No hdmi working, no usbs working at all. What are my options here? I even put in my older graphics card and still no display. Very weird.

My new card is: RTX 2080 TI

Hello there!

Firstly can you think of any difficulties you had while installing the card? Did you have to jiggle it in or anything. Check to see if the slot has become damaged in some way.

Maybe try clearing CMOS.

Unplug the computer completely from power plugs and press the computer button a few times to drain what is left. Some Motherboards have a clear CMOS button on the back where the IO is or you can simply take out the Motherboards CMOS battery for a few minutes then put it back in. The battery is that small circular pallet inside a plastic circle holder.
