i bought a DECENT AVR 1000 va, and i bought a new cable DVI-D to DVI-D. i have a BENQ GW2255. when i switched from VGA-HDMI to DVI-D- DVI-D connection, i got this irritating problem where my monitor turns on/off for a sec. now i switched back to my old connection and the problem is gone. my VGA is R9 380 (i never use the DVI-D slot for 10 months) is it dust or something. does anyone have this kind of problem??

Do you mean Dennon AVR 1000? So you have it, what does it have to do with the monitor? You are missing some info here. Are you using the Dennon receiver as a pass-through? Need a bit more details about what you are doing and how things are connecting. The monitor turns off when, just randomly? Did you make sure the video cord and power core are in solidly in the monitor and card?
