I purchased an Asus VG278HV awhile ago and recently attempted to use the monitor at 144 Hz. I purchased an active DVI adapter and a dual link DVI cable since my GPU does not have a DVI port. Item links are below.
I am able to select refresh rates greater than 60 Hz, but when I do, the monitor displays an overlay with the message in the thread title and loses connection continuously.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Does anyone know if the monitor actually requires a proprietary cable to function properly?
I believe I purchased the active adapter as a suggestion from another thread on this website (though I cannot find the actual thread at the moment).
