Monitor override for gaming

So i have a Dell ST2220L monitor which is 1920x1080@60 Hz and i have AMD sapphire 7750 LP GPU. I want to ask can i override the maximum refresh rate of my monitor like 85 Hz something like that. If i switch to 1280x720 i can have maximum of 75 hz but not in 1080p. Just want to ask any software can override the limit of the monitor of refresh rate. The most important thing is that i want to play on 1080p.

Turn off V-Sync in your games, the GPU will pump out as many frames as it can and whether the monitor can keep up is its own problem.

Screen tearing is a result of your in-game FPS going above the monitors refresh rate.
Basically you can have one or the other.
