Monitor possible issue?

Not sure if this is normal, but when my screen is black on my alienware 14 system, I see a slight white glow from parts of the bottom of the screen. PLEASE tell me it's not cracked and that thats normal.

Sounds like blacklight bleed. This is "normal" and unfortunate.
