Question Monitor power adapter was getting extremely hot, and now monitor isn't turning on at all.

My monitors power adapter was getting too hot to touch after just being on a for 30 minutes, and after buying the exact same model adapter thinking that was the problem, it still got way too hot and now my monitor won't boot with either adapter at all.
Using an Acer AOpen 240hz monitor.
