monitor power save

hi i turned on my pc today and i turned the monitor on then it said auto something entering power save mode and now i don't know what to do ive tried turning the pc on and off taking out my graphics card putting it back checkin the cables and still nothing im using dell monitor do not know the exact model

If you haven't done so, shut the computer fully down, and switch off the monitor and wait a few minutes before powering everything back on... this should get both computer and monitor out of power saving mode
