Monitor problem of red color

If it's a cathode ray tube (not flatscreen), the red gun has gone. Otherwise (on all types of monitor) it could be the cable or plug. If possible (if it's not a captive lead) replace the lead and see.

If you have access to a different computer try the monitor with that. If you have another monitor, try that with the computer -- that should help narrow down the possible causes.
