Monitor question

Hi,
I'm buying a new monitor for gaming and I'm looking at a 3d one but its got a 60hz refresh rate should I buy it or should I go for a more expensive but better one with 120hz refresh rate?

I dont own a 120hz monitor but from what I hear from reviews and friends that have one say that its completely worth it. So if you want to spend the extra money then go ahead.
