Hello

so yesterday i enabled 120hz + lightboost, works fine and it looks great compared to 144hz i used before etc.. however sometimes the monitor randomly flick / blink whatever you can call it, and it started happening after enabling lightboost, is this normal when using lightboost? i don't really notice it when gaming but i do when doing something else, like browsing, and it's really annoying

i have a vg248qe monitor

"turns off and on to display every new frame" shouldn't it be doing it constantly in games then and make it unplayable? yet in games i don't notice it at all, only when doing other things where new frames aren't as frequent?

That's because it's only in games when your monitor goes batshit crazy and actually show 120fps. Whereas outside games your monitor will only receive 60fps to display. And when each frame is stretched to be displayed for every 2Hz rather than 1, the flickering becomes a lot more noticeable.

That's why there's no lightboost for 60Hz monitors.

You can use this application to toggle lightboost, so that you can enjoy its benefits while gaming and not go blind when doing anything else.
