Monitor Reccomendation Please?

I just bought a new computer and I'm considering asking the loved ones for a new monitor for Xmas and I was hoping to get some suggestions for a good one. A few important things to note are that I am pretty seriously visually disabled so I need to have the monitor be over 30" and I would like for the resolution to be 1440 (I'm not opposed to a really nice monitor running at 1080p though) for gaming but also able to play movies/tv shows respectably. I'm hoping to find something under 700$ but price should be the last consideration on a suggestion.
