Hey everyone,

So I wanted to get some input from people more up to date than myself. I just built a new tower (I have been using laptops only for the last 10-12 years.....alienwares) and I am severely out of the game when it comes to understanding what I am looking for in a monitor to match my hardware. My components are the following:

CPU-Ryzen 7 3700x
GPU-NVIDIA RTX 3060 (NOT THE TI, so hard to find anything that isnt the TI)
MB-ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F
Mem- 32gb DDR4 3200

I am using this for school for one more semester then its going to be for personal use. When I am at home away from my work computer I use it to get some more practice in Inventor and CAD. When I am not doing that I am gaming ARK, LoL, DOTA 2, COH2, Total War, Valheim, CSGO, DODS etc. and whatever else I can buy now that I wont be sitting on a 6 year old laptop anymore.

Can my build support 1440p at 144hz or should I go to 1080p at 144hz ? What would your recommendations be ? I am trying to spend less than 400 preferably around 300 for a monitor (Just dumped 2k on my Raptor 700 so the wife will probably kill me for spending more) I should mention speakers are not required but would be nice, I am a little deaf from the Marines lol and headsets don't fit over my hearing aides well.
