Hi!
I am looknig for a recommendation for a new monitor that's not too expensive. Currently I have been looking at the HP OMEN 27" LED G-Sync Z4D33AA and BenQ ZOWIE 24,5" DyAc LED XL2546.

The HP OMEN is a 1440p res. and the BenQ is 1080p.

My current setup is:
  • Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
  • Main monitor: BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 24" 144Hz
  • GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 ROG Strix Gaming
  • RAM: 16GB Fury HyperX DDR4
  • SAMSUNG 1TB HDD
  • SAMSUNG EVO 850 500GB SSD
I mostly play FPS-games like PUBG and Apex Legends. The 1440p looks gorgeous, but with my current graphics card I'm not sure if it's worth it. I will pull 1.77 times more frames with the BenQ 1080p.

The main reason I want to get a new monitor is because the pixels are starting to die.

Any thoughts on this? Experiences? I'd appreciate it!

I always reccomend 1920/1080 1ms, 144Hz monitors for people who generally play FPS games. 1440 is super nice but it is hard to get 144Hz at 1440p (depending on what you play). I would rather the smooth refresh rate rather than the higher resolution just because 1440p resolution, even though it is sharper, will not help you perform any better in games. 1440 144Hz is for people without budgets lol I would stick with the BenQ, at least you will be able to get some Ws on Apex without dropping to like 40 FPS on 1440p
