Hi all.

Looking for some recommendations.
Trying to find some monitor for myself as a upgrade from 24" 1080p...

I think I want VA or IPS, 27", 1440p, 144hz or 120hz, curved or not - don't care.

Budget around 300-400 euros...

Mainly for gaming, youtube, netflix, that kind of stuff generally.

Running 3700x with 10606gb but will be paired with 5700 XT Strix when it's out.

Any recommendations would be great, with links for Amazon... in work, doing night shift, so I have 10 more hours to browse :)

Thank you

Country really helps when you are talking Euros, but about the only monitors I can see that meets your criteria, all slightly overbudget:

ASUS MG279Q
Acer XV272U (not a good monitor stand)
Acer XF270HU
MSI Optix MPG27CQ

I would probably lean towards the XF270HU or the ASUS MG279Q (Basically the freesync version of the flagship PG279Q for the non HDR G-Sync panels)

Cheers for that. I was looking at that Asus one, but it says it from 2015. Is there anything that changed with monitors since 2015?

Depends on what you are after:

1920x1080 available in up to 240hz (TN), 180hz (TN), 144hz
2560x1440 available in up to 165hz (144hz) TN, VA, and now IPS
3440x1440 available in up to 120hz(100hz) VA, think I saw a few IPS
4K available in up to 144hz (120hz) VA

About the only innovation is High Dynamic Range. Which allows for deeper blacks and better color gradation on monitors. But to enable it you usually have to cut back on max resolution/frequency since it requires more bandwidth.

OLED hasn't made a dent yet.

Basically they are just now bringing interfaces and such up to date. Early G-sync was display port only. G-sync 2.0 had a secondary HDMI port (but not G-sync capable), G-Sync HDR allows those 4K 144hz panels to function. Freesync is part of the DP standard, and through software they have enabled HDMI FreeSync.

But basically anything above where you are looking is about 1000 Euro. Since you are getting an AMD GPU, no need to bother with G-sync, so you have that 150-200 Euro saving right there.

Is there a reason why this monitor for example is so cheap? Am I missing something?

IPS Panel, FreeSync, 144Hz, 1ms, HDR 400 ?

Stand is pretty basic, but it looks like it has a VESA mount on the back, so not terrible. But that would place it at least 50 under a similar panel with a fully adjustable stand.

Other than that, I'm not sure. Seems to have everything. Would be interesting what shipping is outside the UK though, might be a deal breaker.
