Hi All,
I hope you are able to assist
I have been having a discussion with a friend RE: monitor refresh rates and if you can actually force your monitor to a higher hz
So with the GPU that I have, I am able to create a custom display profile in the AMD settings where you can create a custom resolution as well as a custom refresh rate, so if I had to change the refresh rate to. say 80-90 hz in the custom profile, would this actually force the monitor refresh rate to that (monitor is a 60hz) or would the monitor still be capped at 60hz regardless of the setting?
I was thinking that maybe it will just stay capped at 60hz although when I change the actual refresh rate, the screen goes black for a second, applies the settings and then comes back on
Thank you
I hope you are able to assist
