Monitor restarts all the time

My new bought monitor is restarting all the time. When it turns of i hear a little clicking sound and the light which indicates if its on turns off then it goes on again. The acer logo is shown and then its starts normally. I have tried disable sleep mode and adjust the brightness. My computer is brand new with some of the best componets on the market. I have tried swtiching cables, updating drivers and even made a system recovery. While writing this, my monitor has allready restarted 5 times.... I have a VP247 LCD Monitor

You're sure it's only the monitor that turns on/off by itself and not your computer?

Yes my computer stays on while the monitor restarts.

Then if it's a new monitor it's got at least a 12-month warranty so get it exchanged (being new doesn't mean it can't be faulty).

(You might want to hook it up to a different PC/laptop first just to see if it behaves the same way).
