Monitor Samsung C24FG73F not showing 144hz option

I just built a new gaming pc and new monitor to go with it.

Display: Samsung C24FG73F Curve 24in
CPU: i7 8700
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1070
PSU: Corsair CX450
RAM: 16Gb Kingston HyperX
MB: MSI B360 gaming plus
SSD: Samsung EVO 1T
OS: Windows 10

The options show only 120hz max on the monitor itself and in windows.

could be just for freesync, read the manual
Also, Nvidia suppose to support freesync with driver update on 1/15

If you're using HDMI, the monitor only supports up to 120 Hz. This is stated in the manual. You need to use DisplayPort for 144 Hz.
