So I have had my pc for about a year and a half. Everything has been smooth with it and I have had no problems. Last week when going to turn the pc on the tower itself came on by my monitor was unresponsive (black Screen). I was baffled by it so i went ahead and reset the computer and it came on just fine. The next day I was in the middle of playing a game, and all of a sudden the monitor goes black. However the tower is still on and I can still hear and talk on my mic. So I restarted it again and it came back on. I wanted to know what happened so I googled the problem, and then while on google it did the same thing. So i let it sit for a day and did research on things to try to get it to work again and nothing worked. When im able to get the monitor to come on it only stays on for a couple of minutes or if im lucky a few hours. Please someone help!!!

I know this sounds silly and you probably already have done this but have you swapped monitors to see if another does the same thing? If it does, then you can eliminate that and move on to the next component in the video system. Sometimes components that are failing do so at certain temperatures. That makes the failures random. The next thing I would try is another video card. Start on one end and eliminate one by one to see where the video failure is. Then I would swap video slots. I also haven't asked if you have updated your Radeon software? It looks like you have two video processors so I am wondering about software and BIOS settings as to which to recognize as the primary. I am sorry, you probably already did all these things. OH! Have you checked the battery on your MB? You may be loosing configuration parameters. I better shut up now, I tend to babble.....

Oops. Sorry I assumed your processor was an APU with built in graphics. My bad. I run Intel myself so i dont automatically recognize the type of AMD CPU. So disregard the BIOS and MB battery.
