Monitor says No Signal

So I bought a new computer and monitor from iBuyPower, and when I turn it on some lights get on and the cpu fan starts spinning but the monitor says "no signal" and turns off. So I tried using an hdmi instead of a dvi and that didn't work. I have tried resetting my RAM as well. I have noticed my graphics card, a MSI r9 270x 2g ITX's fan spins a few seconds after turning on the computer but then stops and sort of twitches every 4 or so seconds. Here are my specs,

Is the display connected to the R9 or the integrated GPU? Try connecting to the other one.

It solves 99% of the problems. Something may have come lose in shipping - check the power cables and make sure the GPU and other devices are seated properly (CPU should be fine). Make sure all fans are connected properly....
