Monitor says out of range windows xp

Hi all.
I have a Hitachi L22DK04U LCD TV/monitor.
It has worked fine at all resolutions now suddenly it is telling me 'out of range'?
I have tried another computer but still the same.
I have tried another monitor and that works fine on the computer.
Can just the monitor part of my TV/monitor go wrong?

Yes, just the monitor part can go out, but try another cable first.

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried a different monitor so the lead is ok.
The tv is still under warranty so it will have to go back.
