Greetings! Yesterday my PC was working good as always. Today when I pressed the power button my pc started but there was no image on monitor, it was saying no signal. I didnt saw BIOS starting. I checked the VGA cable and it was ok, I reseated CMOS battery, shortened CMOS jumper. Finally I figured out that when my GPU is plugged in PCI-E slot, monitor will say No signal even if I connect VGA cable to motherboard instead of GPU. When GPU is unplugged and VGA is connected to mobo, everything works. Monitor is good because I tested it on second PC and it worked.

My question is: Whats the problem? Is my GPU dead or is my PCI-E slot broken/Mobo dead (faulty)? Week ago when I was playing R6S I had some texture issues and artifacts. When my PC boots up I dont hear beep sound from mobo, even when my PC was fine there wasnt beep sound. My GPUs fans are spinning and MSI logo is shining too. Strange thing is that I have MSI Gaming GPU and fans shouldnt spin when I am in idle but they are spinning

Please help me solve my problem. Thank you for paying attention, have a nice day :)

PC specs: Mobo: MSI z87i gaming ac GPU: GTX 950 Gaming 2GB RAM: Hyperx 2x4GB PSU: Zalman ZM450-FX (450w, SFX) CPU: i5 4460

Solution
Hi, Sounds like you GPU is faulty. can you get hold of a another GPU? It is unlikely that your PCI-E slot blew, much more likely that your card is faulty especially if you seen artifacts, that is how it normally starts. Best way to test is to get another card temporarily and take the MSI out and see.

If the card is under warranty you can send it back to MSI, if not you have to buy a new one unfortunately.

Hope this helps
