monitor screen is cropped and the colors are pale

so yesterday my computer was working fine and all actually it was smooth sailing , but today when i turned it on to my surprise the screen is cropped and the colors are pale as hell, there is seriously nothing more to the whole situation its like its just freaking happened for no goddamned reason and i don't know what to do !!

PC specs :
asus z97 MOBO.
i7 4970 CPU .
MSI GEFORCE GTX 970 GAMING 4G. GOLDEN EDITION
evga 80+ gold power supply supernova 750w.
16gb ram .
corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Red LED Mid-Tower Gaming Case.

ok so here is the thing i tried my sisters monitor and it worked fine and it was beautiful, so i figured the problem might be from the monitor idk why idk how but it seemed that way, so i adjusted brightness ,contrast, set the colors to warm and the image scale to fit rather than 16:9.
while it seems ok for the time being i still need an actual answer and an actual solution for why this happened what happened and what to do to prevent it or fix it
