I cleaned my monitor a couple of hours ago using a cleaning solution advertised as suitable for TVs & monitors, it carries a "no alcohol" label and some cotton cloths, a kind of a kit made by the same company.

While it definetly did its job and got rid of some stains and residue on the display, now it looks kind of "dirty"(don`t really have a better way of putting it,similar to when you drop a bit of water on your phone,or using it while your hands are dirty),most noticeable when looking at a white background. It`s not a dealbreaker or anything, but it definetly annoys me,especially when I`ve had the monitor for about 4 weeks now.Could I have done something wrong when cleaning it(cleaned up all the dust first, and unplugged the monitor while cleaing it) or maybe it has something to do with the cleaning solution(which I seriously doubt)? Also,is there any way in which I could fix this,or at least make it less obvious?

Could you perhaps take a picture of the screen in question?

Couple of potential causes:
*too much pressure applied and damage caused to the screen itself.
*Simply just streaks'. (much like using Windex - unless you keep wiping until it's dry, it will be clean, but streaky)

See if you can post a few pics of the dirt.
In the meantime it's possible there's still some residual grease on the screen, removing fingerprints can be particularly difficult without some sort of solvent for example.
Also look at the screen with the system powered off, I find smudges are easier to see this way, particularly if you look at an angle rather than directly at the surface.

Well I did take some pictures but I really doubt that my 8MP Nexus 5 camera combined with the lighting conditions can really provide something useful
