Monitor screen tearing

I have a monitor that can handle 144 hz but i have really bad screen tearing. I've tried multiple suggestions but none of them seemed to work.Can anyone help me?

Go to nvidia control panel, then manage 3D settings, turn vsync to adaptive and triple buffering to on.

I tried this but unfortunately it didn't work
