Question Monitor screen

I had finger prints on my monitor screen so I did some research on how to clean them off and figured that water with a bit of soap would be best. So I tried that, but it didn’t clean the entire monitor. Then I decided to try isopropyl alcohol and eventually got it cleaned, but I applied both water and soap along with the isopropyl alcohol multiple times and I just want to make sure it won’t affect my monitor’s ability to work or the display quality. I’m assuming that it won’t since monitor screens are made to be washed (or at least they should be) but I just want to make sure. I don’t have a PC to test it on at the moment

Should be fine. Just don't soak anything with too much liquid. Usually better to dampen the cloth you clean with rather than the display itself.

As long as you dont drench the monitor in water, it shouldnt be damaged while using soapy water.

Some chemicals can strip protective coatings off of and damage the monitor, but usually you would notice this even with the monitor off.
