would you recommend any other monitor i plan to use it as a tv as well..budget up to 400$ for monitor
i have identified 2 monitors
1.LG W2486L 24"
2.ViewSonic’s VX2739WM 27-Inch 1920x1080

are there any other better monitors?in built tv tuner is an added bonus...

viewsonic makes a good product. their vp (professional) series is no joke. 170deg viewing angles, great color, clarity, 1080p - made for a 60hz signal i believe so not 120hz 3d ready. we've owned two and havent had any issues. not sure about the vx (value) series as we havent bought any.

you also have the option of adding a tuner card to your pc instead of having it monitor-based. this would give you a wider (and perhaps better) monitor selection.
