Hello

I'm having a problem with my monitor. It automatically shuts off after locking my screen. after lock I wait 1 min then it shuts off. i've tried everything in power options and screen saver but none fixed the problem. could someone help please? it's a new pc.

I did some research and it appears to be a problem with windows 10 but cant find any solution for this.

Hello. There is a simple fix for this:
First, click start. The type "screen saver". Select "Change Screen Saver".

This will open the screen saver menu.

You will see a small greyed box written "Wait".

Select a screensaver, then change the "wait" time to 60minutes. Then select no screensaver again and click "Apply" on the bottom.

This should solve this issue. ^^

Greetings, Last:
What's the name of your monitor and your PC? What Windows 10 version/build are you running?

Hi

I am running Windwos 10 Pro

The monitor is PG278Q

This one: https://www.asus.com/Monitors/ROG_SWIFT_PG278Q/

the monitor only shuts off 1-2 min after I lock the PC (Windows + L) or whatever. When I leave the PC unlocked the monitor stays on normally

Thanks

Hello, Last:

a) I'm not familiar with Windows 10 Pro - I have the Home version and although they might be very similar in many ways, I'm sure there are some important differences, too.
b) I would still like to know the name of your computer.
c) Enter the BIOS menu and activate the Intel V/T feature.

Cheers,
GreyCatz.

Hi ty for ur reply

sadly it didnt work, I've tried everything u said

note that it only turns off when I lock the PC (windows key+L). Once I lock it, the monitors turns off after about a min

other than that the monitor works fine and stays on forever as long as the PC isn't locked

this is really weird

is there any way I could downgrade to windows 7?

Hello, Last:

One more question: What kind of cable do you use between the PC and the monitor?

The reason I ask is that your monitor has 1 DisplayPort1.2 port and 2 USB3.0 ports, but your motherboard has a lot of USB and HDMI ports but no DisplayPort. You're either using a DP adapter or a USB3.0 cable.

It's not available in any windows version actually. xD It's a registry modification.
