Before I get started, here are the specs of my system:

Windows 10 64bit
MSI H81I LGA1150 Mini-ITX Motherboard
Intel Core i3 4170 3.7GHz
600w Modular EVGA PSU (can't remember the exact specs)
2x4 sticks of DDR3 ram
MSI GTX 980
Nvidia Drivers 355.82
(Let me know if I need to inform you of more)

So, I've had this issue for a while now. Prior to an absolute clean install of Windows, Kernel drivers kept crashing, monitor wouldn't register signal form GPU at all and the drivers would stop and start responding once or twice a session. So I thought (hoped) it was just a case of conflicting drivers.

After the complete clean install I used the MSI setup disc and now use only the drivers that where on there (listed above). It seems that the Kernel drivers have stopped crashing but I still get the issue where my monitor on occasion won't register my GPU at all on start up. Sometimes it will but only before the lgin screen. After the windows loading icon the display just stops receiving signal.

I've used the BIOS to ensure the system knows to boot from my GPU but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I've even swapped my RAM out to see if that was the cause. It can't be a lack of power as the PSU I have seems to be more then enough. Maybe the Mobo? I'm at the end of my tether here guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Prior issue with crashing, current issue with crashing, points to a failing component. Test the video card in another system that can run it, same thing for the power supply. Test RAM one stick at a time, maybe it's a bad RAM slot or PCIe slot.
