I bought a ACER (model:KA221Q) monitor today and it's connected to my PC with a HDMI cable. It's got VGA and dvi too...But my graphic card (1050ti) doesnt support VGA, and since I don't have a dvi cable, I connected it via HDMI.
So, after I turn the PC off usually what it's supposed to do is turn off by itself right? But mine doesnt. It stays on fully lit with with a black screen and a sign in the middle saying "cable not connected"
It's not an issue really, just annoying and looks so odd. Is this a common problem with Acer monitors? Is there something I can do to fix it?
I looked it up on a google and the most frequent answer was that it was because of the HDMI connection, and something about HDMI being more suitable for TVs than PCs. So, in that case should I switch to DVI?
