Ive just been playing the Crysis 3 beta on my new computer (GTX 670, 3770k, VG278h) and i've been trying to get 120fps.

Its set to high profile, with fxaa 8x

The fps will go up to 130fps with gpu usage at 100% at times and then drop to 60fps with gpu usage at about 40%.

I'm thinking its either the cpu bottlenecking it, or the monitor is switching between 120hz and 60hz and vsync is changing the fps accordingly.
I took screen captures of both instances with activity monitor and msi afterburner monitor turned on. i took them in the same match.

Reducing all settings to low doesnt help.

What can I do to keep it at 120fps?

First off, what card are you using to those framerates? What is you cpu. Try turning off vsync. If the frame rate is fluctuating that much, then it is probably a problem with the gpu. Can you even tell that there is a framerate drop though?

A gtx 670 power edition, and a 3770k. Turning off vsync doesnt help. I was trying to get 120fps for 3d vision. Do you mean like a physical problem with the gpu? The fps goes down with the gpu usage %. So it could be at 80 fps with around 60%, at 120 fps 99%, and sometimes drop down to 60fps with 40% usage.

Does it look like a cpu bottleneck in the pictures?

If you have a 3770k, you don't need to worry about ram bottlenecks. That is one of the strongest cpu's out there for gaming. it probably is just a crysis problem. Beta's can have a lot of weird problems.
