I'm getting a gtx 680 + 17 2700k, my friend has the same build and he gets really high fps in pretty much every game he plays (60-130fps, sometimes even higher). I am unsure weather to get a 60hz or 120hz monitor. I heard 120hz pretty much erases screen tearing when you get higher fps. (like 70-120) The only thing is, I have a budget of 2.4k and I already have $2138 towards my actual pc. Could someone help me find an 120hz 24" with hdmi that doesn't go over my budget? Preferably one that is in the $200 dollar range.

thanks for the help 😀

i've used nothing but 60hz screens and have NEVER seen screen tearing even at over 100fps. quite a few games now even limit your fps to fit your screen refresh rate so its a complete nonissue.

120hz screens are also all tn panels which are the worst of the lot imo.

all i can say is that you will want to stick with a major brand like dell, viewsonic, asus, acer, etc.
