Monitor Turns off while gaming but I can still hear sounds

GPU: GTX 570
CPU: i5 2400
MOBO: DELL VOSTRO 460 Stock MOBO
PSU: EVGA 500B
RAM: 2x4GB 1333 mhz

I can be playing a game that isn't even demanding and my monitor will shut off and I can still hear sound,I assume that the problem is the PSU so I ordered a 650w (still on its way) does anyone have any other ideas about what could be wrong?

Also, I just noticed that when this happens, the GPU fan turns off or turns down, not 100 percent sure

actually it sounds like your video card is dying, not PSU.

When you removed GPU and cleaned it with compressed air last time, if never, do this first, if no help, procedd to below instructions.

You card may had been overheated and some soldiering connections got loose.
There is one DIY method of "backing" the card in oven to fix it, the fix could be permanent or temporary.
It will involve disassembling the card completely, do some heat magic and putting all back together, a little pray and everything would be fine, the question only - for how long.

This rarley happens anymore after I got my new PSU, if it gets worse then I will try this, btw it only ever happens now shortly after startup but it's fine after
