Hi! I recently installed new Windows updates and apparently my second monitor which is a TV hooked up with HDMI is pixelated. I'll attach some pictures. https://gyazo.com/c8362ec36764296a2f367aa12cffa596

I am running a Nvidia 1080 and have the most recent graphics drivers. I've also tried a new HDMI cable (Brand new) and it didn't change anything. I've noticed if I change the resolution through windows display options to something other than the native resolution of 1366 x 768 then It goes back to normal. I've also noted that if I so say 1280 x 768 then it goes back to the pixel look. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you!

I found the solution!!!!

You need to go into the Nvidia control panel to the change resolution setting and change it from the default setting to the "use Nvidia" settings and change the output color depth from 12bpc to 8 bpc on the monitor your having the problem with.

This worked for me and makes sense so hopefully it works for you too. Good Luck!
Uh. So it is set to that. The only other thing I can think of is that it is a "handshake" problem between that TV and your graphics card (TV is not fully understanding the signal being sent from your GPU). It occasionally happens with monitors too, but TVs, especially older ones with newer PC hardware, have the problem more.

What you can experiment with, if you have onboard graphics on your chipset, is disable the video card and try running that TV through your motherboard's CPU graphics as the primary display (with a video card installed, on-board graphics are disabled by default). That will tell you for sure if it's a communication problem with your video card to the TV (or both from the motherboard if it still repeats the same issue).

I have had the same problem for about a month now (probably since my last big Windows update that was going to "improve" my experience - WRONG) I assumed my card was bad since I tried a new cable and verified my TV worked fine with other HDMI sources (it's a Samsumg also). So today I just updated my video card to a 1050ti and have the same problem. Did you find a solution?
