Looking to upgrade from my £120 ASUS monitor to something with a better display.
My current pc build is:

Geforce GTX 970
Intel Core i5-4690K @ 3.50GHz
8 GB RAM
ASUS 1920 x 1080, 60Hz

Just wondering what to go for, e.g. do i need 144Hz, what resolution etc.

Budget of around £400

Any help would be appriciated

Thanks!

If you need 144hz or not is your call. I looked at several options, but found nothing that was shipping that I felt like paying for. The other factor is with a 144hz monitor you are probably going to be happier with g-sync which adds around 200 to the cost of most monitors. Also at 144hz and 1440p, you're going to need a new video card.

I would think a 60hz 2560x1440p display that is 27-32 range would be a good upgrade. I went this way as well but because those monitors had the best text clarity.

Have you read through reviews on sites like pcmonitors, tftcentral, etc?
