And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My old monitor for my computer died on me, I am currently using my 32" HDTV and its terrible.
 
Solution
Freesync is only compatible with AMD GPUs, which you do not have.

My personal opinion is that 27" monitors need to be paired with 1440p resolution. 24" is perfect for 1080p.
