Hi,
Installing my first monitor arm (alterzone single fit 17-35") and got the backplate 4x screws off. Im uncertain if I should use the original backplate screws [shorter] or the monitor arm screws [longer] to install the arm?
Looking at the manual both seems risky I dont want the monitor to break with the short screws or screw them too deep with the longer screw monitor arm screws. So should I use the monitor screws[Black] or the monitor arm screws[Silver] ?
How do I know which one to use ?

Black ones seem to be just under 1cm and the longer 1.05-1.1cm about with the washers.

Currently tested the monitor arm with the shorter black screws just not sure if its deep enough so it wont give pressure in the backplate ?

Usually, monitor mount holes, inside the monitor, are deep enough to use longer than standard screws. Also, when you screw the screw in, you should be able to tell if you bottom out.

I'd use longer screws for better peace of mind. Also, monitor arm screws aren't so long that those wouldn't fit. If the diff would be double, then maybe.

Okey, thank you for your time to answer.

The shorter screw is 0.95cm long and the longer is 1.10-1.15cm. The vesa backplate is 0.2mm.

So the longer screw might go in 0.1mm-0.15mm further with the backplate+washer than the stock screw was originally screwed in.

I asume that there is still 0.1mm-0.2mm extra headroom between the monitor backplate and the screen?
